Wheelchair Accessibility

・There are many slopes within the garden, so please take extra care when moving around. The area near the Ishikawa-mon Entrance is flat and relatively easy to navigate. Other entrances have slopes and stairs. In addition, there are numerous gravel stoppers (small logs) throughout the garden.
・For wheelchair access to the Gyokuseninmaru Garden, please use the Gyokusen'inmaru Entrance. The Imori-zaka slope (between Ninomaru Park and Gyokusen'inmaru Entrance) is very steep and cannot be used with a wheelchair.
・Wheelchair users visiting Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse, Kahoku-mon Gate, and Nezumita-mon Gate may use the indoor wheelchairs at each of those facilities. Please inform our staff.
・Wheelchair access is not available during the special opening of the Important Cultural Properties: Ishikawa-mon Gate, Sanjikken-nagaya Storehouse, and Tsurumaru Storehous.

・Wheelchairs are available to rent free of charge at Ishikawa-mon Gate Entrance Rest Area, Kanazawa Castle & Kenrokuen Garden Management Office, Gyokusen-an Rest House, and can be returned at any of those locations.
・There are wheelchairs for indoor use available at relevant locations such as Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse, Kahoku-mon Gate, and Nezumita-mon Gate.
・Wheelchairs cannot be booked in advance.

・Availability: 9:00 – close
・Accessible at Omiya Park when entering from the Jin’emonzaka personnel entrance. If you wish to use this parking lot, please call our office in advance (Tel: 076-234-3800)
・If visiting Gyokusen'inmaru Garden, (Gyokusen-an), please use the disabled parking lot in next to Imori-bori Moat.
