Is there a nursing (breast feeding) room?

There is a nursing space avaliable for use at the Ishikawa-mon Gate Information Centre

Are there ostomate-friendly bathrooms?

There are universal bathrooms near Kahoku-mon Gate and Gyokusen-an, and inside Tsurunomaru Rest Area.

Are there vending machines where I can buy a drink?

There are vending machines at Ishikawa-mon Entrance Rest Area, Ninomaru Park, and near Gyokusen-an.

Are there smoking areas?

There is a smoking area near the Kanazawa Castle & Kenrokuen Garden Management Office.

Are there coin lockers?

Yes, they are located at the rest area next to the Ishikawa-mon Entrance Rest Area. Prices vary from 300-400 depending on size.

Are there wheelchair rentals?

There are wheelchairs available to rent at Ishikawa-mon Entrance Rest Area, Kanazawa Castle & Kenrokuen Management Office, and Gyokusen-an Rest Area (free of charge). They can be returned at any of the above three facilities.

Merch & Stamps

Where can I purchase a castle seal?

They are available for purchase inside the Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse. (open 9:00 - 16:30)
If you wish to purchase only the castle seal, you may do so without paying the Gojikken Nagaya admission fee. Please speak to the reception staff.

There are two types: one featuring the namako walls characteristic of Kanazawa Castle, and another depicting the flow of the Tatsumi Canal. (¥300 per stemp, incl. tax)

Where can I get a Japan 100 Castles Stamp (Japan Castle Foundation)?

Ishikawa-mon Gate Information Booth located inside Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse.

Admission and Use of Facilities

Are there combined tickets available for Kenrokuen Garden and Hishi Yagura/Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse?

There are combined admission tickets such as the Kenrokuen+1 admission ticket and the Cultural Forest Outing Pass.

Can I prebook tickets for Hishi Yagura and Gojikken-nagaya Storehouse?

We do not sell physical tickets in advance, but there are digital tickets available for purchase on our website.

Filming and Streaming

Please refrain from any filming or streaming that may bother other visitors. Premission is required for any filming or broadcasting for television or commerical use. Please inquire at the Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden Office.

Photography

It is permitted to take photos for personal use. Permission is required for commercial photography For permission for commercial photography, please inquire at the Kanazawa Castle & Kenrokuen Garden Office.

Flying drones

In the interest of our visitors’ safety, it is not permitted to fly drones over the garden, regardless of size.

Street Museum:

An app that lets you enjoy a VR recreation of Kanazawa Castle during the late Edo period from multiple viewpoints installed throughout the park.

Kaga Hyakumangoku Excursion Route App:

A convenient app for strolls and sightseeing, introducing various highlights such as historical buildings, gardens, and cultural facilities concentrated in Kanazawa City's central district.

Kanazawa Castle AR Tour:

An app for history enthusiasts, sharing the results of past research and studies by the Kanazawa Castle Fieldwork and Research Office, along with valuable historical drawings.
